Orano Federal Services LLC, a leading international player in the nuclear industry, seeks an Engineering Designer/Drafter to join its Federal Way office. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the clean energy world of tomorrow by supporting the engineering, analysis, and licensing of nuclear transport packages. You will work at the heart of the nuclear fuel cycle, collaborating closely with experienced engineers on projects ranging from advanced reactor development to nuclear life cycle activities. Your primary responsibility will be preparing precise engineering drawings using CAD software, ensuring strict compliance with industry standards such as ASME Y14.5 and ANSI A2.4. This position demands both theoretical and practical engineering knowledge, with a strong focus on geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Ideal candidates will have foundational experience in drafting and CAD, with a working understanding of design processes and the ability to coordinate with technical teams. The role combines technical precision with collaborative problem-solving in a sector critical to global energy security and environmental sustainability.

Vos missions

Perform layout and design work using theoretical and practical engineering knowledge from supplied data
Prepare engineering drawings using CAD software based on design criteria and technical manuals
Ensure conformance to applicable standards and codes (ASME Y14.5, ANSI A2.4) and company procedures
Consult with engineering staff to ensure compliance with design specifications
Support engineering, analysis, and licensing of nuclear transport packages
Contribute to advanced reactor development and nuclear life cycle activities

Profil recherché

High School diploma or equivalent
Completed coursework in drafting and CAD, plus 0-10 years of related experience
Working knowledge of SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent 3D design software
Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Un plus si vous avez

Experience in the nuclear sector including preparation of licensing drawings
Experience with fabrication, welding, or NDT inspection
