Voltalia, a leading independent power producer in renewable energy, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its Porto office. In this strategic role, you will oversee the accounting operations of our Portuguese operations, ensuring compliance with IFRS standards and local regulations while supporting our ambitious growth trajectory in renewable energy assets (wind, solar, and hybrid projects). You'll manage complex financial reporting across multiple entities, coordinate with our international teams, and drive continuous process improvements in our accounting function. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge renewable energy projects while developing your expertise in energy sector accounting. You will report to the Finance Director and collaborate closely with project finance, treasury, and audit teams across Voltalia's European operations. Your analytical mindset and attention to detail will be crucial in managing financial consolidations, preparing statutory accounts, and ensuring robust internal controls. Vos missions
- Manage accounting operations and financial reporting for Portuguese subsidiaries
- Ensure compliance with IFRS standards and Portuguese tax regulations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and consolidations
- Coordinate with project finance teams on accounting treatment of renewable energy assets
- Implement and optimize accounting processes and internal controls
- Supervise junior accounting staff and provide technical guidance
- Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities on compliance matters
Profil recherché
- 7+ years of accounting experience, preferably in energy or project-based industries
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP (Portuguese accounting standards)
- Proficiency in financial management systems and ERP software
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial consolidation tools
- Fluent in English and Portuguese
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's preferred)
Un plus si vous avez
- Experience in renewable energy or utilities sector
- Knowledge of project accounting and EPC contract accounting
- Experience with consolidation software (Hyperion, Anaplan, or similar)
- Exposure to international GAAP and multi-currency reporting
- CPA or equivalent professional certification
