À propos du poste

EDP Renewables seeks an experienced Director of Transmission & Interconnection to lead strategic initiatives across utility-scale Solar, Wind, and Battery Energy Storage projects. In this pivotal role, you will manage the complete generator interconnection lifecycle—from queue submission through executed Generator Interconnection Agreements (GIAs) and Commercial Operation—across multiple ISOs, RTOs, utilities, and balancing authorities. You will evaluate transmission system capability, identify constraints, and recommend practical mitigation strategies to minimize project risk and accelerate deployment. Working at the intersection of engineering, regulatory compliance, and commercial strategy, you will provide technical guidance on transmission planning, grid reliability, and FERC/NERC standards while coordinating System Impact Studies, Facilities Studies, and Generator Deliverability evaluations. Your expertise in power flow modeling, FERC regulations (especially FERC 2003-C and FERC 888-890), and interconnection processes will be essential to supporting targeted Commercial Operation Dates. Leading 5-7 direct reports, you will align transmission strategy with corporate objectives, distill complex technical knowledge for executive decision-making, and navigate multi-stakeholder negotiations. This hybrid role in Houston offers the opportunity to shape the future of renewable energy infrastructure while driving operational excellence across one of the world's largest renewable energy platforms.
