EDP Renewables seeks an Electrical Engineer to support the Engineering team in delivering innovative wind, solar, and energy storage projects. This role bridges development and execution, requiring you to create conceptual and detailed electrical designs, manage technical documentation, and coordinate with internal teams and third-party consultants. You'll develop project layouts, single-line diagrams, utility interconnection designs, and prepare comprehensive EPC RFP documents. Your work ensures compliance with industry standards and EDPR specifications while maintaining safety and quality throughout the project lifecycle. Based in Houston's corporate headquarters, you'll contribute to renewable energy infrastructure serving North America, with opportunities to travel to project sites (up to 25%). This position offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment where initiative, attention to detail, and strong communication are essential for success in the renewable energy transition.
Vos missions
- Develop preliminary engineering support including conceptual layouts, single-line and three-line diagrams, and site layouts
- Prepare electrical permits, utility interconnection designs, and EPC RFP documents
- Review EPC proposals and engineering deliverables for accuracy and adherence to standards
- Coordinate between the Engineering team and other internal teams to support effective project delivery
- Assist in managing third-party consultants and overseeing their work
- Provide input for electrical CAPEX and value engineering activities
Profil recherché
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 0-3 years of design and engineering experience
- Understanding of electrical engineering principles
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Un plus si vous avez
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification
- Experience with wind or solar energy projects
- Familiarity with electrical design software and tools
