À propos du poste

EDP Renewables is seeking an Energy Trading Lead Expert to drive market origination and portfolio development within its Global Energy Management platform in Tokyo. This pivotal role combines strategic origination, commercial structuring, and transaction execution across Japan's dynamic renewable energy market. You will build and manage a pipeline of renewable developers and asset owners, identifying high-potential opportunities in FIT-to-FIP conversion, aggregation, structured offtake agreements, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Your commercial acumen will structure pricing models, revenue-sharing mechanisms, and risk-allocation frameworks that create value across all stakeholders. Leading complex negotiations with developers, investors, and financial institutions, you will progress transactions through rigorous due diligence and internal approvals. Portfolio economics and risk management form your core focus—assessing transaction returns, monitoring downside exposure, and optimizing GEM's Japan portfolio performance. You will coordinate financial modelling with trading, finance, credit, legal, and tax teams while monitoring market developments and recommending strategic pivots. This role offers the unique opportunity to build a new business activity within an international matrix organization, leveraging established relationships with Japanese market participants and deep knowledge of renewable PPAs, environmental certificates, and Japan's FIT/FIP framework.
