EDP Renewables, a global leader in renewable energy generation, seeks an experienced Field Service Technician II for its Top Crop Wind Farm in Dwight, Illinois. As an intermediate-level technician, you will be the backbone of on-site wind farm operations, ensuring optimal performance and safety of wind turbines and associated equipment. Your role encompasses preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment inspections, Lock-Out-Tag-Out procedures, and comprehensive documentation to support turbine operations. You'll work collaboratively with EDPR's Remote Operations Control Center, implement process improvements, and act as a safety champion on site. You'll leverage technical expertise in diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance procedures across substation and tower switchgear systems. Based at the Dwight facility, this full-time onsite role provides stability and growth potential within a rapidly expanding renewable energy sector.

Vos missions

Ensure proper operation and maintenance of wind turbines and associated wind plant equipment, including substation and tower switchgear
Complete Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), Tail Board, and safety documentation for wind turbine maintenance
Conduct inspections of equipment, tools, and facilities for compliance with EDPR policies and governmental safety guidelines
Perform data collection and prepare reports to meet reporting requirements
Coordinate with EDPR's Remote Operations Control Center for remote operations management
Perform QA/QC inspections in accordance with applicable SOPs
Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures

Profil recherché

Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
2-5 years of relevant experience in wind energy or related industry
1+ years of college or technical school education, or equivalent training and experience
Proficient knowledge of MS Office software, SQL server software, and computerized diagnostics tools
Familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment (voltage testers, amp clamps, oscilloscopes, etc.)
Working knowledge of crane and rigging requirements
Strong analytical problem solving and communication skills
