Voltalia, a leading French renewable energy company, is seeking a dedicated HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Manager to oversee operations in French Guiana. Based in Remire-Montjoly, this role is critical to ensuring the highest standards of workplace safety, environmental compliance, and occupational health across our sites and projects in the region. As HSE Manager, you will be the cornerstone of our safety culture, responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive HSE policies, procedures, and programs aligned with international standards and local regulations. You'll conduct risk assessments, manage incident investigations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to prevent workplace accidents and environmental incidents. You will lead HSE training programs, coordinate with site managers and operational teams, and ensure full compliance with French and international environmental legislation. Your role includes managing safety audits, maintaining HSE documentation, and representing Voltalia in regulatory interactions with local authorities. This position demands a proactive leader with strong communication skills, able to influence teams at all levels and foster a safety-first mindset across the organization. You'll work in a dynamic, multicultural environment, managing diverse teams and stakeholders while balancing operational efficiency with unwavering safety commitment. Vos missions
- Develop and implement comprehensive HSE policies, procedures, and programs across all sites
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify and mitigate workplace dangers
- Investigate incidents and accidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Lead HSE training programs and awareness campaigns for all personnel levels
- Ensure compliance with French and international environmental regulations and standards
- Manage HSE audits and inspections, maintaining detailed documentation and records
- Coordinate with site managers and operational teams on safety initiatives and improvements
- Represent Voltalia in interactions with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders
Profil recherché
- Bachelor's degree in HSE, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional HSE management experience in industrial or energy sector
- Strong knowledge of international HSE standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001) and French regulations
- Fluent in French and English (written and spoken)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with ability to influence at all organizational levels
- Proven ability to manage incident investigations and corrective action processes
- Computer proficiency (MS Office, HSE management software)
Un plus si vous avez
- Experience in renewable energy or construction sectors
- Familiarity with French Guiana regulatory environment
- NEBOSH or equivalent HSE certification
- Experience in multicultural or remote site management
