Orano Canada, leader in uranium production and clean energy solutions, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join its McClean Lake Operations in Northern Saskatchewan. In this pivotal role, you will support the Chief Mine Engineer in the strategic planning and execution of mining operations, with a focus on developing new ore zones and implementing the innovative SABRE mining technique. You'll work at the intersection of engineering excellence and operational efficiency, collaborating with consulting engineers to deliver cutting-edge designs while managing budgets, forecasts, and project timelines. This is a hands-on position that combines immediate operational challenges with long-term strategic initiatives, all within a fly-in/fly-out environment offering a unique working experience in Canada's North. Vos missions

  • Assist with annual operating and capital budgets, forecasting, execution, and reporting
  • Recommend and implement department engineering processes and procedures
  • Support McClean Lake Mining in safely achieving production targets
  • Guide consulting engineering and project delivery services in design and execution
  • Manage project delivery including costs, schedules, quality and KPI tracking
  • Administer management of change (MOC) to facility modifications
  • Ensure compliance with Orano health, safety and environmental policies

Profil recherché

  • University degree in Engineering (mining specialization preferred)
  • Registered or eligible to be registered as Professional Engineer in Saskatchewan with APEGS
  • 3-5+ years of progressive mine engineering and project delivery experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Effective planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in team environment and independently
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Un plus si vous avez

  • Microsoft Project experience
  • Mining engineering specialization
  • Experience with fly-in/fly-out operations
