Voltalia, a leading international renewable energy company, is seeking a SCADA Engineer Associate to join its Porto-based operations team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems that monitor and control our renewable energy assets across multiple markets. You will work alongside experienced engineers to support the full lifecycle of SCADA infrastructure—from initial system architecture and configuration to commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization. This position offers exposure to cutting-edge industrial automation technologies, PLC programming, and real-time monitoring systems that directly impact energy production efficiency. As an Associate, you'll contribute to ensuring operational excellence across our wind, solar, and hydroelectric facilities while developing deep technical expertise in distributed control systems. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams including project management, field operations, and electrical engineering to resolve complex system challenges and implement process improvements. The role combines hands-on technical work with mentorship from senior engineers, providing an ideal platform to advance your career in the renewable energy sector. Based in Porto, you'll benefit from Voltalia's dynamic international environment and commitment to the energy transition.
Vos missions
- Design and implement SCADA systems for renewable energy facilities
- Configure and program PLC controllers and industrial automation hardware
- Perform system testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of SCADA infrastructure
- Monitor real-time operational data and support field teams on technical issues
- Document system architecture, configurations, and operational procedures
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate SCADA solutions into larger energy projects
Profil recherché
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field
- 3-5 years of professional experience with SCADA systems or industrial automation
- Proficiency in PLC programming and control system design
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and distributed control architectures
- Fluent in English; Portuguese is a plus
Un plus si vous avez
- Experience with renewable energy projects (wind, solar, hydro)
- Knowledge of industrial networking protocols (Modbus, OPC, TCP/IP)
- Familiarity with HMI software development
- International project experience
