Join Orano USA as Senior Licensing Engineer on Project IKE, a cutting-edge uranium enrichment facility in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. You'll serve as deputy to the Licensing Manager, leading complex regulatory interactions with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission throughout the project lifecycle—from license application review through construction, commissioning, and operations. This senior role demands exceptional technical judgment, systems thinking, and the ability to synthesize information across diverse engineering disciplines. You'll interface directly with NRC regulators, executive leadership, and technical teams, managing critical licensing activities including Request for Additional Information responses, regulatory commitments, and licensing basis development. The position spans two phases: initially supporting the NRC's thorough license application review with technical meetings, audits, and inspections; subsequently managing the licensing basis through detailed design, construction, and operational transition. Your expertise in electrical power, instrumentation, and controls will be essential as Project IKE advances nuclear fuel cycle capabilities. Vos missions
- Serve as primary technical interface between Project IKE and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission
- Coordinate preparation and execution of NRC technical meetings, audits, inspections, and public meetings
- Lead preparation of Requests for Additional Information responses with technical coordination
- Maintain and develop the approved licensing basis throughout project lifecycle
- Track NRC review activities, action items, commitments, and regulatory correspondence
- Develop executive briefing materials for project leadership on licensing and regulatory matters
- Support licensing supplements and updates requested by the NRC
- Monitor licensing schedule performance and identify regulatory risks
Profil recherché
- Significant experience in nuclear regulatory affairs and licensing
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical power, instrumentation, and controls systems
- Proven ability to manage complex regulatory interactions with government agencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and executive audiences
- Systems thinking capability to integrate information across engineering disciplines
- Experience with uranium enrichment, fuel cycle, or nuclear facility operations
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

- Experience with NRC licensing processes and regulatory frameworks
- Knowledge of network architecture and software interface design
