EDP Renewables seeks an experienced Site Lead Technician to oversee all on-site operations and maintenance at the Lone Star Wind Farm. You will lead a team of up to 10 Field Service Technicians, managing work schedules, mentoring, and performance evaluations while ensuring optimal turbine and wind plant equipment operation. This role demands strong technical expertise in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in variable pitch and speed control systems. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensure strict compliance with environmental health and safety standards, and act as a safety champion across the site. Administrative responsibilities include SAP processing, fault report analysis, QA/QC inspections, and comprehensive performance documentation. Your strategic focus on risk mitigation, equipment reliability, and SCADA communication maintenance will directly impact generation efficiency and team safety culture. Lead critical preventive maintenance activities per OEM manuals and coordinate with Central Maintenance, Performance Analysis, and external contractors to sustain plant reliability.
Vos missions
- Lead and mentor a team of up to 10 Field Service Technicians with planning, scheduling, and performance evaluation
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of wind turbines and associated equipment including substations and switchgear
- Diagnose, recommend, and implement solutions for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system issues
- Facilitate training programs including task-based certifications, safety training, and compliance requirements
- Perform administrative duties including SAP processing, timesheets review, POD reports, work orders, and QA/QC inspections
- Implement risk mitigation strategies and identify gaps in safety standards
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities in accordance with OEM maintenance manuals
- Gather and analyze turbine performance data and prepare comprehensive technical reports
Profil recherché
- Proven experience in wind energy operations and turbine maintenance
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Proficiency in reading mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic schematics
- Knowledge of variable pitch, speed control systems, and SCADA communications
- Familiarity with SAP systems and administrative reporting procedures
- Safety certification and demonstrated commitment to health and safety compliance
- Troubleshooting expertise with variable pitch wind turbines
- Experience with OEM maintenance manual interpretation and implementation
