BayWa r.e. Operation Services Limited recruits a Site Technician to join its Solar Technical team supporting utility-scale solar assets across the UK and Ireland. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities, including HV maintenance, ensuring optimal plant performance and compliance with HSE obligations. Based at home with daily regional travel, you'll coordinate with internal teams (LV, HV, Ground maintenance) and external subcontractors to resolve work tickets professionally and timely. Taking primary on-site responsibility for plant performance, work quality, and site appearance, you'll maintain regular contact with the Regional Manager and O&M coordinator. You'll also participate in the company's on-call rota for non-working hours, including bank holidays and weekends. This role demands technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while fostering strong team collaboration. You'll contribute to BayWa r.e.'s mission to deliver industry-standard operations and maintenance services by leveraging international best practices and local expertise.
Vos missions
- Perform scheduled and corrective maintenance works, including HV maintenance, on utility-scale solar plants
- Monitor and report on HSE compliance across assigned sites
- Report on-site HSE issues to Regional Manager and HSE Manager
- Take primary on-site responsibility for plant performance, work quality, and site appearance
- Maintain regular contact with Regional Manager and O&M coordinator to coordinate site works
- Resolve work tickets and report required information to Asset Manager and senior staff
- Liaise with internal teams and external subcontractors as required
- Participate in the company's on-call rota for non-working hours
Profil recherché
- C&G 2330 level 2/3 or equivalent qualification
- C&G BS7671 17th/18th edition certification
- Full UK Driving License
- Computer literate
- Ability to work under own initiative
- Team player mentality
- Experience working on ground-mounted solar farms
Un plus si vous avez
- HV qualifications AP15 or OP40 or equivalent with personal switching log
- Qualifications or training in specific PV inverter technologies
- Communications or networking qualifications
- IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications
- Attention to detail and organisational skills
