EDP Renewables seeks an experienced Wind-BESS Project Engineer to drive the technical excellence of wind and battery energy storage projects across our Milan Business Platform. You will orchestrate the entire project lifecycle—from feasibility studies and due diligence through detailed engineering and construction supervision. Reporting directly to the Business Unit, you will lead engineering management, coordinate complex multi-disciplinary studies (collector systems, foundations, reactive power compensation), and ensure seamless alignment between corporate standards and local regulatory requirements. Your role bridges Development, Construction, and specialized technical teams, guaranteeing that every project meets EDPR's rigorous standards while optimizing CapEx and technical-economic conditions. You will manage supplier relationships across the value chain, validate technical specifications, and represent EDPR's interests to external agencies. This is a pivotal position for professionals passionate about renewable energy infrastructure and capable of driving innovation while maintaining unwavering compliance with safety, environmental, and quality policies.
Vos missions
- Lead technical due diligence, preliminary design and feasibility studies for wind-BESS project acquisition
- Manage engineering execution across pre-design, basic, executive and tender project phases
- Supervise technical feasibility and ensure EDPR standards compliance for all project deliverables
- Coordinate complex studies including collector systems, reactive power compensation and foundation design
- Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and providers across the value chain
- Coordinate site surveys and produce detailed reports on interferences, risks and mitigation strategies
- Represent EDPR to regulatory agencies and enforce EDPR interests in external negotiations
- Ensure application of common standards while adapting to local regulations and project-specific constraints
Profil recherché
- Engineering degree (mandatory)
- Proven experience in wind energy project development or construction engineering
- Strong knowledge of BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) integration and technical specifications
- Proficiency in project engineering management and design coordination across multiple phases
- Demonstrated ability to perform CapEx estimations, risk analysis and technical feasibility assessments
- Excellent communication skills and experience coordinating cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with renewable energy standards, certifications and regulatory compliance frameworks
- Fluency in English; Italian highly desirable
Un plus si vous avez
- Experience with SCADA systems and grid integration
- Knowledge of European renewable energy regulations and permitting processes
- Project management certifications (PMP, Prince2)
- Experience in M&A due diligence for energy projects
- Proficiency with engineering design software and BIM tools
