Join EDP Renewables as a Wind Technician II at the Lost Lakes Wind Farm in Lake Park, Iowa. As an intermediate-level technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our wind turbines and associated equipment. You will be responsible for proactive maintenance, inspections, and repairs of wind turbines and substation equipment, implementing safety protocols including Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures, and conducting compliance audits against EDPR policies and governmental standards. Working alongside our Remote Operations Control Center, you'll contribute to optimizing performance through data collection, reporting, and continuous process improvements. Your expertise in electronic diagnostics, crane and rigging operations, and facility maintenance will directly impact the renewable energy generation serving thousands of households. Vos missions
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of wind turbines and associated equipment including substation and tower switchgear
- Perform Lock-Out-Tag-Out (LOTO), Tail Board procedures, and comprehensive documentation for safe turbine maintenance
- Conduct inspections of equipment, tools, and facilities for EDPR policy and governmental safety compliance
- Execute QA/QC inspections according to Standard Operating Procedures
- Collect data and prepare reports to meet regulatory and operational reporting requirements
- Communicate improvements through appropriate channels using control management protocols
- Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting systems
- Coordinate with EDPR's Remote Operations Control Center for remote operations support
Profil recherché
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in wind energy or related industry
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate motor vehicles
- 1+ years of college or technical school education, or equivalent training and experience
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office software and facility management systems
- Familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment (voltage testers, amp clamps, oscilloscopes, megohmmeters, infrared testers)
- Working knowledge of crane and rigging requirements
- Understanding of computerized diagnostics and troubleshooting tools
- Competency in analytical problem-solving and strong communication skills
Un plus si vous avez
- Understanding of Microsoft products and complementary software solutions
- SQL server software proficiency
- Experience with hydraulic torque equipment and alignment tools
