EDP Renewables, a global leader in renewable energy production (wind, solar, hydrogen), seeks an experienced Analyst to strengthen its Record to Report (R2R) operations in Kuala Lumpur. This role is critical to the financial integrity of EDP APAC, the Group's main subsidiary in the region. You will own the complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing cycle, ensuring accurate journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and compliance with IFRS and SFRS standards. Working across AP, AR, Tax, and Treasury functions, you'll coordinate intercompany reconciliations, prepare financial reports, and drive process improvements through automation and data analytics. This position demands both technical accounting rigor and a digital mindset—you'll leverage ERP systems, advanced Excel, and emerging tools to streamline workflows and reduce manual effort. You'll also support external audits, financial due diligence, and ad-hoc management reporting. Vos missions
- Prepare and post accurate journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes
- Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts (prepaid expenses, accruals, fixed assets, intercompany accounts)
- Assist in preparing accruals, provisions, and adjusting entries during close periods
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes with variance analysis and timely financial data submission
- Prepare financial reports for internal management including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
- Coordinate with consolidation team to ensure intercompany reconciliations are accurate and reflected in group consolidation
- Identify and recommend improvements to accounting processes aiming for increased efficiency and automation
- Provide support for external audits, stock takes, and ad-hoc financial analysis or due diligence projects
Profil recherché
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in shared services or Global Business Services (GBS) environment
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS, SFRS) and financial reporting practices
- Proficiency with accounting software or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills
- Knowledge of intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close procedures
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Digital mindset with willingness to learn automation, data analytics, and AI-enabled productivity tools
Un plus si vous avez
- Audit experience or background in audit functions
- Experience with consolidation processes
- Familiarity with data quality assessment and large datasets
- Knowledge of renewable energy sector
