EDP Renewables, a global leader in renewable energy production across wind, solar, and hydrogen sectors, seeks an Electrical Automation and Testing Technician to join its Networks platform in Sacavém. In this full-time role, you will perform critical high-voltage equipment testing and validation essential to grid infrastructure reliability. Your responsibilities include conducting comprehensive tests on power transformers and rotating machines, installing and operating power quality measurement equipment, assessing electromagnetic field exposure, and detecting partial discharges in high-voltage installations. You will work on-site with live voltage systems ranging from extra-high to low voltage, contributing to the safety and efficiency of electrical distribution networks. This position demands technical precision, rigorous attention to detail, and a commitment to the highest safety standards. Your analytical skills and problem-solving abilities will be crucial in maintaining equipment performance and ensuring compliance with environmental and quality protocols. Travel throughout national and international locations will be required to support EDP Renewables' diverse operational sites.
Vos missions
- Carry out tests on power transformers and rotating machines
- Install equipment for measuring power quality
- Conduct power quality measurements and analysis
- Measure electromagnetic fields in operational environments
- Detect and measure partial discharges in high-voltage equipment
- Perform electrical measurements on HV and MV cable systems
- Ensure compliance with safety, environment and quality standards
Profil recherché
- Training at 12th Year level with Technological or Professional Course in Electrical Installations Technician or related field
- Professional experience between 2 and 5 years in technical operational functions
- Basic computer skills (Windows) and Microsoft Office proficiency
- Availability to work near live voltage installations (EHV, HV, MV, LV) and at heights
- Valid driving licence and availability for frequent national and international travel
- Commitment to Safety, Environment and Quality standards
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Rigor and attention to detail in technical work
