EDP Renewables is seeking a Senior Director of Asset Management Operations to lead Regional Field Operations across North America's renewable energy portfolio. This strategic leadership role reports directly to the Executive Vice President and oversees the safe, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective operation of a large, geographically dispersed organization. The successful candidate will champion a proactive safety culture, drive operational excellence across wind farms, solar parks, energy storage, and green hydrogen projects, and lead transformational initiatives to improve organizational capabilities. You will assess existing operating models, identify improvement opportunities, and implement cross-functional changes that enhance safety, reliability, availability, cost efficiency, and productivity. This role requires an exceptional leader capable of developing high-performing teams, establishing clear accountability, applying continuous improvement methodologies, leveraging data-driven decision-making, and influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels. The Senior Director will be both an operational leader and a change agent, translating strategy into measurable results while maintaining compliance with company standards across contractor activities. Based in Houston, this position offers the opportunity to shape the future of renewable energy operations for a global energy group committed to being all-green by 2030.
Vos missions
- Lead Regional Field Operations across EDPR North America's renewable energy portfolio
- Champion proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with company standards across all field operations
- Oversee safe, reliable, efficient, and cost-effective operation of renewable energy fleet
- Assess operating models, processes, and organizational structures to identify improvement opportunities
- Lead cross-functional transformation initiatives from concept through implementation
- Develop high-performing leaders and teams while establishing clear accountability
- Apply continuous improvement and structured problem-solving methodologies
- Report to Executive Vice President – Asset Operations/RGA
Profil recherché
- Extensive leadership experience in large, geographically dispersed operations
- Proven track record in renewable energy or similar industrial operations management
- Strong expertise in safety culture development and compliance management
- Experience leading organizational transformation and process improvement initiatives
- Advanced analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities
- Excellence in cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder influence
- Strategic and operational acumen with ability to translate strategy into measurable results
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
Un plus si vous avez
- Experience with wind energy, solar, or energy storage operations
- Familiarity with green hydrogen projects
- Knowledge of SCADA systems and field asset management software
- Background in continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
- International operations experience
