Join Voltalia as a Solar Specialist and drive the renewable energy transition in Porto. This is a key technical role where you'll manage the design, installation, and optimization of solar photovoltaic systems for utility-scale and commercial projects. You'll work at the intersection of engineering excellence and operational performance, overseeing every phase from feasibility studies through commissioning and O&M support. Your expertise will directly impact energy generation efficiency and project profitability across our expanding portfolio. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge solar technologies while collaborating with international teams across Voltalia's global operations. You'll combine technical problem-solving with site management, ensuring compliance with international standards and best practices. Whether troubleshooting SCADA systems, optimizing inverter configurations, or coordinating with EPC contractors, you'll bring both strategic thinking and hands-on technical knowledge. Voltalia values innovation and sustainability, and this role is central to our mission of accelerating clean energy deployment. Based in Porto, you'll have exposure to Portuguese and international solar markets while contributing to projects that power communities across Europe and beyond.
Vos missions
- Design and optimize solar PV systems for utility-scale and commercial installations
- Oversee project implementation from feasibility studies through commissioning
- Monitor and troubleshoot SCADA systems and performance metrics
- Coordinate with EPC contractors and supply chain partners
- Ensure compliance with international technical standards and regulations
- Manage O&M support and system optimization post-commissioning
- Analyze performance data and implement continuous improvement measures
Profil recherché
- 3-5 years of experience in solar photovoltaic systems or renewable energy projects
- Strong knowledge of solar PV technologies, inverters, and BMS
- Proficiency in SCADA systems and performance monitoring tools
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software
- Fluent in English; Portuguese a plus
- Project management and site coordination experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy)
Un plus si vous avez
- Experience with utility-scale solar projects (>10 MW)
- Knowledge of Portuguese regulatory framework for renewable energy
- Familiarity with energy storage integration and hybrid systems
- International project experience
- Certifications in renewable energy or project management
